Your coach has been certified by our highly selective 160-hour training program, the Relationship Hero Professional Coaching Certification (RH PCC).

RH PCC Curriculum

The RH PCC provides in-depth training on a wide variety of topics that are needed to be a successful coach. The modules include written exams as well as interactive mock coaching sessions with our staff.

Module 1: Intro to Relationship Coaching

  1. 1.
    What is Relationship Coaching? Define relationship coaching as an industry and differentiate practices that do not qualify as coaching.
  2. 2.
    Ethical Guidelines and Professional Standards What ethics and standards guide professional relationship coaching.
  3. 3.
    Establishing the Coaching Agreement Coaching Agreements and how they protect both coaches and clients.
  4. 4.
    Planning and Goal Setting Planning and goal setting to keep clients engaged in their coaching goal and learn how to best guide clients from start to finish.
  5. 5.
    Designing Actions/Actionable Advice Designing actions/actionable steps that will result in the most effective client progress.
  6. 6.
    Assigning Homework (Theory) Assigning homework to support client growth.
  7. 7.
    Managing Progress and Accountability Consider the client's motivations and their resistance to change while building a customized plan for each unique client situation.
  8. 8.
    Creating a Trusting Coaching-Client Relationship Understand what a trusting coach-client relationship entails and learn methods to encourage trust between yourself and your clients.
  9. 9.
    Remaining Objective Why it is important to stay objective in coaching, how to achieve objectivity, and how humans build and interpret their reality.
  10. 10.
    Bottom Lining Guide clients to effectively express and understand the bottom-line of what they want to gain through coaching.
  11. 11.
    Best Interest Goals Identify which goals are in a client’s best interest and adopt techniques to guide them towards understanding and achievement.

Module 2: Primary Coaching Skills

    Coaching with Compassion How to coach with compassion and make the client feel connected and understood.

    Asking Potent Questions When and how to ask potent questions about client situations that spark a deeper understanding of them and their situation.
  11. 11.
    Creating and Raising Awareness Integrate and evaluate multiple sources of information to help clients gain awareness.

Module 3: Advanced Coaching Skills

    Creating a Coaching Plan Create an outline of an 8 week coaching plan for clients.

    Wheel of Life A powerful goal-setting tool that we can use with our clients in order to help them visualize and understand their areas of improvement.

    Understanding People Steps you can take to understand and empathize with people.
  8. 8.
    Handling Rude Clients Basic tips on how to work with rude or aggressive clients.
  9. 9.
    Coaching 101 How to manage client sessions in chat, by phone, or through video.

Module 6: Breakup Issues
